Read this carefully before you agree

1. Medical Fitness Requirement

Participation involves physical exertion and inherent risks including exhaustion, dehydration, heat-related illness, injury, fainting and other medical emergencies. I confirm that I am physically capable of participating. Where required by the organisers, I will provide a valid Medical Fitness Certificate issued by a Registered Medical Practitioner confirming fitness for a 7K running event. A participant who cannot comply may be refused participation.

2. Medical History & Disclosure

I will truthfully disclose relevant medical conditions, injuries/surgeries, medications, allergies and other health information to my medical practitioner. If I have any known or suspected medical condition, I understand that I should obtain appropriate medical advice and clearance before participating.

3. Participation & Personal Responsibility

Participation is voluntary. I will not participate if medically unfit, will follow event safety and medical instructions, and will stop and seek assistance if I experience symptoms that make continued participation unsafe.

4. Medical Emergency

I understand that no sporting event can completely eliminate the possibility of a medical emergency. If an emergency occurs, I authorise event medical/emergency personnel, where reasonably necessary and permitted by law, to provide or arrange emergency assistance and/or transportation to an appropriate medical facility. Medical, hospital, ambulance and related expenses arising from my personal medical condition may be my responsibility, subject to applicable law and event arrangements.

5. Inherent Risks

I acknowledge the inherent risks of a 7K running event, including physical exhaustion, dehydration, heat-related illness, falls/collisions, muscle or joint injuries, aggravation of pre-existing conditions, fainting and cardiovascular or other medical emergencies.

6. Organiser's Liability

I understand that the organisers, event staff, volunteers, contractors and associated personnel cannot guarantee that injury, illness or a medical emergency will never occur. I accept the inherent risks of participation and understand that the organisers will not be responsible for consequences arising solely from my undisclosed medical condition, failure to follow medical advice or voluntary participation despite being medically unfit, to the extent permitted by applicable law. Nothing in this form is intended to exclude or limit liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
